Our Property department is headed by Partner in charge Stephanie Mann, who specialises in conveyancing and property law, predominately acting for clients in the sale, purchase and remortgage of residential property.

We offer free, no obligation valuations with one of our experienced Valuers who has local market knowledge in Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire and are there to advise on all aspects of the selling process.

We are both solicitors and estate agents, allowing us to take our clients through the entire process - from valuation through to completion.

We are a small team who offer a more tailored personal experience to our clients which allows us to deliver the highest standard of customer service. 

Our property solicitors have a wealth of experience in purchasing properties in Aberdeen/shire and all over Scotland. Our advice will be focused specifically on your particular circumstances, from the first time buyer to the professional property investor.

 

In terms of re-mortgaging. There are many different reasons why you might need to re-mortgage your home. It may be to free up equity for an extension or to settle a second charge on the property. It could even be to simply secure a better mortgage interest rate. The majority of re-mortgages take place close to the end of the fixed beneficial interest rate. Generally the process is very straightforward and we have experienced staff members to deal with it all.

 

Of particular relevance to first time buyers and people moving into the area, our initial advice will concentrate on the procedures involved in purchasing a property. This will generally include advice on noting interests, closing dates, negotiation, Home Reports, LBTT and the price to offer.

Once your offer for a property has been accepted we attend to all of the necessary work required to complete your purchase. This includes examining the title to the property, checking Local Authority and Property Searches, complying with all the requirements of your mortgage lender, completing a LBTT return and registering your title following completion in the Land Register of Scotland.
